  2. Creating a vacuum:
    Once frozen, the chamber inside the freeze dryer is sealed and air is removed to create a vacuum. This vacuum environment allows the ice inside the food to turn directly from solid to vapor — skipping the liquid stage entirely. This step is called sublimation.

  3. Gentle heat application:
    A small amount of heat is applied to draw out the remaining moisture vapor, completing the drying process without cooking or damaging the food’s structure.

  4. Final dry phase:
